• Millions of people in developing countries live with HIV, they do not have access to any scientifically proven treatment for the infection.

• People living with drug-resistant tuberculosis, certain cancers, and other deadly diseases also need medication but cannot obtain them because of exorbitant prices.

• 250 million children under five years of age are affected by sub-clinical vitamin A deficiency.
